M3 Vibration Isolators (12-Pack)
Purpose-built rubber grommets for soft-mounting flight controllers. Designed to fit the 305AP mounting pattern — 4 mm mounting hole on an M3 fastener — and compatible with any flight controller using the same 4 mm / M3 hardware. Same style of vibration isolator commonly used on Pixhawk-class autopilots.
The 12-pack contains enough for one full flight controller install plus two full sets of spares — no need to reorder next time you rebuild, tune, or upgrade a rig.
Why soft-mount your flight controller?
Every current-generation IMU is only as good as its mount. Hard-mounting the flight controller directly to the frame transmits motor and airframe vibration straight into the gyro and accelerometer, giving you noisy attitude data, EKF vibration warnings, and control tuning that never quite converges. A properly sized rubber isolator between the FC and the frame attenuates that noise before it ever reaches the sensors — cleaner logs, smoother position hold, better autotune convergence, quieter EKF innovation plots.
Isolation on both axes
The barbell profile isolates in both directions simultaneously:
- Vertical (Z-axis) — compresses under thrust load, absorbs motor pulsing and prop wash
- Lateral (X/Y) — the mid-body flexes to soak up side-to-side frame resonance during maneuvers

Compatibility
- Avian Automata 305AP — direct replacement for the isolators the board ships with
- Any flight controller with 4 mm mounting holes on M3 hardware (common Pixhawk-class layout)
- Also usable for isolating cameras, gimbals, and other vibration-sensitive payloads with the same hole/fastener spec
Installation
Press one grommet into each of the four mounting holes in the flight controller PCB (the 4 mm hole is sized for a snug press fit). Pass an M3 screw through the grommet's inner bore and thread into a standoff on your frame — the grommet floats the FC on rubber, with no direct metal-to-metal contact between the board and the airframe.
Tighten the M3 screw until snug, then back off a quarter turn. Over-torquing crushes the grommet and defeats the isolation — the FC should have a small amount of visible give when you press on the board with a finger.
